Edward Green was a twenty-nine-year-old carpenter, born in Shelby County, Kentucky, the son of Edward James Green and Sarah W. Daughtery. Green was 5’9 ¾”, with a light complexion, blue eyes, and light hair. Green served as company cook from November 1863 through May 1864. Private Green was slightly wounded before Atlanta, Georgia, on July 20, 1864.
