Private John Green was born in Ireland and was a twenty-three-year-old farmer when he enlisted. Green was 5’7 ¾”, with a light complexion, blue eyes and light hair. Green served as company cook from November 1863 through May 1864. Private Green was slightly wounded before Atlanta, Georgia on July 20, 1864.
