Robert Robb was born in Shelbyville on April 11, 1842, the son of Robert Torr Robb and Juliette Franklin Crawford. He was six feet tall with a light complexion, gray eyes and light hair. Sergeant Robb was killed at the Battle of Stones River, December 31, 1862 and is buried in Grove Hill Cemetery. He never married.
